One dead bee larvae on the porch and in the other hive I saw a bee acting very
strange with shriveled wings. I just got these NUCS 10 days ago. Is this a sign of
trouble or normal?

I think its a sign that you should do some non-invasive monitoring of varroa levels. Do you have a screened bottom board? If so, I'd start regularly checking for mite drop.
After the population starts growing, I'd also consider a sugar-roll or alcohol wash test.
Yes I do have a SBB. Inspecting the bees when I first got them 10 days ago I did not notice any mites. I will keep an eye on it.
The shriveled wings are a sign of DWV - Deformed Wing Virus, carried by the mites. You probably have a serious mite problem, and ought to follow the recommended protocol for your type of bees.
