I captured my third swarm of the season tonight in North West Albuquerque. It was a football sized swarm hanging from a cottonwood tree branch. It was up about 7 feet. I shook it directly into a swarm trap, covered it, and went to dinner. When I got back , there were three bees on the outside. We used a bee brush to get them inside, covered the trap entrance and took them home. This was by far my easiest capture so far. The bees were a little annoyed when I banged them off the branch and I was attacked by several bees. Got stung twice in the neck. No big deal.
