    Default Your feelings on late delivery of packages

    just a call from the guy in my area that handles 3 lb. packages and he informed me that delivery date is now mid may! seems kinda late for me! what are your feelings? i am think.. mid may, by the time they get rolling its mid June or better.. then July--- no food..

    We're talking agriculture here - not parts delivered off a storeroom shelf. Be glad you are looking at a delay and not an outright cancellation. Packages started in May should build up for winter, though they most likely will need feeding. Good Luck!

    Sounds like last year, what with the bad weather and all. Funny, I have not heard any other delay reports out there...

    I was supposed to be getting 2 nucs this week. Called about them and they said that they wouldn't be going to get them till the 14th or 16th. They are supposed to be getting them from west tn somewhere

    I got mine off a split last year in the middle of July and I just fed fed fed until the end of November, my bees are plentiful now and exciting to watch them move up to the shallow super I just added.

    I wouldn't be overly concerned about it. A lot depends on the package and the environment around you. Bee's can build up fast given the right circumstances.
