Looking for 2 nucs of Italian honeybees in DC metro area

Hello,
I'm hoping to buy 2 nucs of Italian honeybees this spring for my burgeoning apiary in Washington DC. Can anyone recommend a good source? I could drive about 60 miles to pick them up, but if its farther than that I would probably get them sent in the mail.

Have you checked with DC Honeybees? I think he posted on Facebook that he was taking orders.. He is based in Georgetown I think..
If not, I have placed an order with VA Bee Supply for bees and he was also taking orders for nucs. He is about 60 miles outside of DC..Good luck!

Interesting... you ship nucs too? How has that worked?

BTW- This information on your website is just plain old false. I know many other people who get 100 percent inspection on nucs before selling. Myself included for the past several years.
"We are the only Nuc Provider in Virginia that annually undergoes a 100 percent hive inspection by the Virginia Department of Agriculture (VDAC)to ensure we do not spread diseases or pests. We provide a properly executed and numbered Certificate of Apiary Inspection that can be verified by the Commonwealth Apiarists office."

Also folks should know that State Inspection is only for disease, not the quality of the nuc.
