    July 2012: Mesquite and Creosote Bush, strong second bloom after good Summer rains, now Pigweed/Amaranth has joined the party -- providing pollen the bees seem to seek out.

    Good rain has continued, which is usually followed by more nectar and pollen sources, probably by September.

    Bees are going crazy on goldenrod and wild mint. Also tall plants with bunches of dark purple flowers not sure what they are. 44003 NE Ohio

    Rabbit Brush started blooming this week. Started a week ago in upper elevations. A lot of people don't like Rabbit Brush Honey! Many beeks around here pull their supers off when the rabbit brush starts blooming. The bees sure love it, though
