Gallberry started blooming about April 20th. Blackberrys started about a month early this year in early March but are still going strong.

Saw some "thornless" mesquite blossoming out yesterday during a swarm removal; wasn't getting any attention from the bees yet, but flower chains are forming.

Iowa 52214, Black Cherry, about a week now. Black raspberry, beginning. Black Locust just 10 minutes South blooming, around me bloom killed by freeze.

Great Falls Mt 47-62 latitude 59405 Dandelions are everywhere, all fruit now blooming, caragana starting. My bees are no longer in need of welfare. They have quit taking syrup without lemongrass oil. I helped a guy 80 miles south hive his packages and split an overwintered hive. It had 14 frames of brood with queen cells on 8 of them.

This weekend I watched (feral?) honeybees in newly bloomed sumac; they have only just started blooming & will bloom for 2 or 3 weeks.
