Ever since I first saw that performance I wondered how they did it w/out getting stung a lot more than they did. I first thought that they only used drones, but on closer viewing one can see that they are worker bees. What's the secret?

THose were not bees in a colony. They were totally disoriented, probably selected non aggressive baby nurse bees and I am sure they were sprayed with syrup a reasonable time before the engagement. I have been more crawled on by bees in a honey house! Yes they got stung, but tigers can kill you.

I didn't view the above link but I vote for a little cold air or else C02 to calm them down a bit before the trick started. Then P & T may have kept the bees in the dark untill the stunt got under way.
