I'd like to get a listing of every bodies top bar hive internal measurements, and any info about comb collapse in summer or other problems. I'm wanting to build myself and am interested to know different dimensions and possibly different conditions. I have read many posts but getting more info together in one spot would be good.
The dimensions I want are the INTERNAL WIDTH at the top and bottom of the hive (not the top bar length) and the DEPTH. INTERNAL LENGTH is optional. Number of hives and highest summer temps would be good. So if you could reply with these measurements, and any comments about any comb collapse or management problems I would be grateful. I know some use a centre support pole in the middle of their bar so if you do please mention it. Also any pics would also be good.
1. INTERNAL WIDTH at the top (IWT)
2. INTERNAL WIDTH at the bottom (IWB)
3. DEPTH (D)
4. INTERNAL LENGTH (L)
5. Number of hives (N)
6. Highest summer temps (T)
Accuracy to within 1/2 inch is fine.
If there is already a thread with similar info please direct me to it.
