Keith, I am using the process that Randy Oliver taught me. Take 40-50 foragers off the entrance in the afternoon. then freezing over night. In a plastic baggie I put 40 bees and 40 cc of water. Crush up using a quart jar( rolling back and forth) on the baggie then putting a drop on the slide and allowing a minute or two to settle. Is this what you were refering to by the baggie method? I am taking my micro scope out to a comml friends place in the morning. Will be interesting to see what happens. Take care GB

Keith I have checked the bees from 3 different beeks and nobody seems to have a problem , hard to believe but almost no spores at all. will check the bees again in another month.

Thanks GB, I am am still looking. Randy is doing some testing for me in a Nosema controlled environment, but I really like to test 400-500 hives in a "real environment" setting, just like commercial keeper would place hives. Randy's test is a important first step.
