Default Mouseguard.... Home Made.... will this bee Good?

1 new mouseguard test.jpg2 new mouseguard test.jpg3 new mouseguard.jpgI wanted to make some mouse guards. Ones easy to swap out.
I thought 3/8s was the right choice but I read 1/4 inch hardware cloth so I picked some up and made these.
1/4 inch seems small but I trusted what I read. The paint is still really fresh so I didn't leave it on the hive but I was curious if this seemed like an ok approach. I'd appreciate any insights from forum members. Thanks in advance. Here's some pics. Wolf

The links to your pictures don't work yet.

I cut some hardware cloth to the width of the entrance, and bent it into a V, and stuffed it into the entrance. Granted I had No. 8 Hardware Cloth, and was closing up a bottom entrance (but wanted ventilation) - same principle though.

There must be a harder way to do that... let me find it for you.

That should work. Over engineered, but fine.
