Default How many boxes per pounds of bees?

Got my first "Jaws Moment" (We're gonna need a bigger box) the other day on a swarm call.

I'm gonna guess six pounds... This thing was HUGE.

I set them up in three 8 frame mediums with 8 frames of honey, two frames of pollen, 6 frames of drawn, and 8 frames of undrawn. All mixed in what I think was a healthy mixture. They were still boiling out. They bearded up the entire front and around the edges a bit going into the night.

It was warm, so that might have contributed.

So, how many boxes per estimated pounds of bees? Most of my swarm calls have been nuc sized to start with.

My first package several years ago was a three pound package and I shook it into an 8 frame deep. They still had plenty of room. I had drawn comb so the queen started laying right away and the numbers didn't drop too much that I noticed before the brood started hatching. I would guess four pounds or more could go into a single deep box without too much crowding. Just a guess though.
