    Question Magazines

I'm a first year beekeeper and am interested in your opinions about the publications/magazines. American Bee Journal and Bee Culture come to mind. Which do you prefer & importantly, why?
    hobby beek vs commercial
    layman vs academic
    natural/organic vs chemo

    thanks!

Get them both, if you can. I find value in both, even though I'm small time, hobbyist.

Pugs is right - get them both. Bee Culture tends to be a bit more geared to the hobbyist than ABJ, but there are materials in ABJ (like Randy Oliver's articles) that are important reading.

Do a search on 'magazine' and you'll find several threads discussing the merits of each.

I get them both digitally. You can download and save ABJ on your computer for future reference. If there is a way to save BC, please let me know. Also, both of them let you access back issues for up to 3 years when you get them this way. Also, it is cheaper!

I get both, tear out articles important to me and file them, then during football season, have excellent reading during commercial breaks!
