    Default rectangle swarm traps

I used to have a swarm trap that was made out of the same material as the round traps all the supply houses have, except it was rectangle and you put 2 woods sticks across the ends and put frames in the trap so when you caught a swarm you just took out the frames and put them in deep hive body. Does anyone know where you can get those traps anymore? don't like having to cut them out of the round traps, and this year i tried the cardboard nucs, they caught 5 swarms, but every one of them build on the bottom, won't go inside?

Why don't you just use an old deep super? It's already got the smell.

Take your new hive bodies you built for the new swarms you want. Take your present hive and swap all the frames into the new hive bodies. Those bees won't mind. That way you have your older hive bodies with that 'homey' smell all ready for a swarm to move in. It can be some work but it makes great swarm traps.

Just build some 5 frame nuc traps. They work great with all of the benefits of the rectangular pulp boxes.
