    Default Drone cells

Is it normal for a hive to suddenly develop drone cells. Quite a few frames have drone cells capped over. Hope the queen is not dead..She was laying about a week ago.

Do you see regular brood as well? Some hives will build drone brood between the frames if you have worker sized cells on your foundation. Where are the drone cells? All drone brood and no worker brood is a sign of trouble. Your queen might be dead or gone and you might have laying workers. Your queen might be damaged or played out. Can you find her?
When you stop learning you're dead.
