    Default Trapout question

I live in Missouri. What is the last date that I should attempt to do a trapout and have the hive be able to gather stores to survive winter without feeding the whole time?

Depends. Trapout implies that you'll use a bait hive. If you start your bait hive with a frame of brood and make them raise a queen they will take a long time to get going and probably not build up before winter. If you have a hive that needs an injection of workers and use that as your bait hive you'll actually be giving them a shot in the arm, especially if you rob out the hiney from the trapped out hive.
When you stop learning you're dead.
