Default How many cups of sugar in a pound

I am at the ranch and have both of my vegetable scales at the town residence. So, will someone please tell me how many cups of sugar are in a pound or four pounds or some type of information that I can use to mix sugar water for feeding?

    Thanks for any assistance,

    Lazy

Two cups of sugar is a pound, according to my wife when we mix feed.
*Edit, yeah, I just looked it up, 2 cups of sugar is a pound, if it's regular granulated white sugar. I think different sugars have different densities, like liquids. That's why a pint of water is a pound, but a pint of honey is a pound and a half.

Hey Byron, thanks a bunch. The reason for asking is "my wife is readying to mix feed."

If you put a 4-5 lb bag of sugar in a gallon jug and then fill it up with hot water it comes out about right. 4 pounds makes it a little thin, 5 makes it a little thick, but either one is good for spring or summer feed - and it's easy.
