    Ray and Klarene Olivarez. We have 48 years experience We have been overseeing the queen operation for Olivarez Honey Bees in Orland, CA and Captain Cook, HI. We have now retired and will be managing 700 hives and 4000 queen nucs in Corning, CA. Our main goal is to develop very resistant bees. We will be producing open mated queens, tested queens and breeder queens which will be VSH Italian and Carniolan.

    700 hives, 4000 Q nucs... yea... nice little retirement project you have got there . No seriously... I have read of the big operation, have fun in your retirement... I do!

    Thanks, This will truely be retirement for us since this is our passion to develop resistant queens and we will sell enough queens to keep the research going.

    We use 5-framers, 2-ways and peewees.
