    When is the best time of the year to requeen? Thanks in advance

    either spring or fall but the best time would be fall a young vigorous queen will lay longer into the winter and start laying earlier in the spring. some commercial beekeepers change queens twice every year but they push their hives to the limit

    During a flow is the easiest. Summer queens are better though. I think they are better mated. I just requeened four hives and they all took. Our flow has been over for a few weeks so I fed. Just my opinion. Peace Dave
