    Default Hello from Wakefield Kansas

Hi I am new to Beekeeping and looking for a tutor for the Kansas Wakefield area. I have had a fascination for bees ever since I was a child. Now at the age of 44 I am looking to start a hive myself and need information on it. Please any Kansas beekeeper looking to share info with me please contact me. The only learning I have recieved is this site and Bee Keeping For Dummies, which I have read over and over. Thank you for your time and any help I can get.

Ty everyone, I have found a wild hive in the woods in a small hole in a tree. Is there a way I can lure some of them out to establish a hive. There is no way to cut the tree due to were it is. I have no desire to hurt the hive I have been watching it for a year and some. Any help with this?

Welcome. You are a bit to far from our area for the club I belong to. The Missouri side of the city club teams with them and I'm a member on the Missouri side. http://www.nekba.org/. I've been to the fun day out in Lawrence Kansas. They put out a great newsletter.

Sure you can find a club closer in your area.
