    Question wow!!!!! vibrant orange pollen - what could it be?

    bees bringing in lots of this unbelievably bright, bright orange pollen! it seems brighter than even an orange safety jacket.... i'm in the pacific northwest; any ideas what this could be from?

    i have seen bright orange pollen too and am curious to witch flower it comes from

    could be blueberry - i was up there friday and seems there was still blueberries in bloom - most have started on the Raspberry -
    there are other non native plants that they can harvest pollen off of.

    you should be getting Raspberry honey brought in now - once capped - extract it as it will chrystalize fast !!!!!

    Around here (VT) the bees have been working our asparagus like crazy...dayglow orange pollen and lots of it.
    I have never seen the bees in the buttercups...too bad cause it's everywhere.

    I've noticed they are all over the marigolds (old style) and newly blooming crepe myrtles.

    Butter cups in Western Washington are a good sign of dearth...but they do seem to get pollen from them.
