Just curioius. As this is my first year beekeeping, I have yet to do any uncapping. Recently, I purchased some used equipment from a retired beekeeper. It was kind of a one shot price, for a group of items all thrown together. In this package is a steam uncapping knife. My question is how well do these work? Or is it a waste of time, and I should look for something else? I could easily build my own steam generator, but wanted other opinions before I even bother.
