i am looking to buy an un-capping knife.
what is a good one to buy? is there a peticular brand? or a place to get one?
thanks for the help.
Re: un-capping knife
Call Carlton. It all depends on how much you want to spend. A cappings scratcher is cheap but takes more time. A cold knife will work too. Some people put them in hot water to ease uncapping. Some people like a capping scratcher better than a cold knife. A hot knife works good. Some are preset and others are adjustable. I hear they don't bounce were good. There is also an uncapping plane too. Some people like those better than a hot knife.
I did a few frames last night and just used a scratcher, worked fine.
