Default Adding second deep...top or bottom

So not to hijack the other thread, is there any data on the best way to add a second deep?

Let say we are dealing with package bees. The second deep is undrawn foundation. The hive has only a bottom entrance.

Would putting it on top of the first deep or below the first deep stimulate the bees to draw the foundation faster?

Put it on top after they have drawn 7 or 8 frames

I had the same question & have also read the same answer. Let me push this a little deeper... Define 7 or 8 drawn frames? By drawn do you mean fully drawn or just partially? I am probably over thinking this but my hive is at precisely this point. I have 6 frames fully drawn, 2 that are what I would say is 50% drawn & 2 that are almost untouched.
My gut says put another hive body on it but I am concerned that if I do that they will start to fill it up before using the space they already have.

I've always added the second brood box to the bottom at 7-8 frames and then the rest of the boxes on top. Learned it from my uncle as a kid and it always seems to work the best for me.

They always go up. The house bees will start right away drawing foundation right in the middle two frames, just watch in 4 days, its amazing.
