Default Hive beetles in Mating Nucs

I run 10 frame mating nucs partitioned three-ways. I am currently finding quite a few small hive beetles in each partition. Can anyone suggest a way I can make a trap to go into each partition using oil? Thanks in advance.

We use micro cd baited. This works well. Oil screened bottom boards will not work because of the smell of the queens hole to hole. You might try beetle blasters b/w frames if you want to use oil only. Hope this helps. Phillip

Try the Cutts Beetle Blaster oil traps. Dadant has them at $1.49 each. They fit between frames and you fill them with vegetable oil.
