    Question mold/mildew in the top?

I have noticed that the inside cover and the top hive feeder (under the inner cover) have been accumulating green mold, some mildew, and some white fluffy mold. Not huge amounts, but some.

Is this a problem? How do i prevent it or get rid of it if it is a concern?

You might want to improve ventilation.

Sounds like you need more ventilation. Is your inner cover solid? I use a screened inner under the telescoping cover and still get some mildew on the cover's underside. I've seen them get soaking wet at times. Cured mine by propping up one end of the telescoping cover using a small strip of 1"x 1". Mine stays in all year long.

Wash the affected areas with a strong water and bleach solution to remove the mold.

You don't need an inner with a Miller feeder (hive-top feeder). Some moisture buildup while using them is unavoidable, but still you should try to increase ventilation. I usually put a couple twigs on the rim of the feeder to allow air to chimney out the top... make sure it's not large enough to admit robbers though.
