Still too early?

So it's been like almost 3 weeks since the queen has been released from the cage of the package. Today I saw the queen, but still no eggs. I looked closely, but none. Some of you know about my burr comb I've posted last week, which had eggs. So why aren't there any eggs in the hive? And only a little of capped something, which I think is pollen.

They don't cap pollen. If it is capped it is honey or brood. Are you sure there is not larva of any size?

Scratch the cappings off a few cells and make sure it is not pupa. It also helps to see in the cells if you shake most of the bees off the frames into the box, just be careful and don't shake the frame with the queen.

And dont shake like a madman or you will knock the eggs loose....
