Default small swarm hived 9 days ago - question

Had the post office call and say "come pick up your bees"...which was odd since I hadn't ordered any. Turns out they had a swarm they wanted me to "pick up". Pretty dang small - maybe only a pound of two of bees.

Well 9 days later I finally ascertained I actually got the queen too. I looked on 3 separate occasions, but did not see her. I also found a brand new supercedure queen cell. I did not see any capped cells and they have only drawn out the entrance side half of about 3-4 frames.

They are drawing comb, taking sugar water, and bringing in pollen. I have the entrance stopped down to 3/8"x 3/8" to help stop any robbing (been a problem). I did not see any capped cells and they have only drawn out the entrance side half of about 3-4 frames (too few bees?).

    What are these bees thinking?

Bees will tend to build and tear down cups all the time. If you don't see any larva in them, then don't worry too much about it.
