Considering a tbh with an end entrance, many have found that if you don't add a spacer before the first bar, there's not really enough space for the bees to build a full comb on the first bar, as the bee space is off. Bees will often build a partial comb there or none at all.
So my question is, for those of you who have top bar hives with end entrances, do the bees tend to cluster there in winter?
Thank,
Adam
