    Default Honey or sugar water???

    I Have some left over honey in frames and just installed 2 new packages. Would it be beter to feed honey or sugar water, as i have herd that they will brood up faster when feeding sugar water???

    They will build comb faster on sugar syrup. They will build bees faster on food - honey and pollen.

    As long as you're sure the honey is from AFB-free hives and the honey hasn't crystalized, I'd add the frames to your new hives but I'd also give them sugar syrup regularly until they stop or slow down on taking it, especially if you are using new foundation and the bees need to draw out comb. Place the honey frames just outside of the brood nest they are creating - I'd probably give them four frames in the center for brood and then place the honey outside of that, otherwise they'll just end up having to move a bunch of it as the brood nest expands.

    Thanks for the info, The comb is already built out, so all the queen needs to do is lay.
