I'm completing my third week as beekeeper (two hives). Someone suggested that beekeeping is a great stress-reliever, and so far I have to agree. My two kids (8 and 11) helped me examine the hives last week and we like to sit and watch the bees at the hive entrances.

I have a variety of fruit trees including mango, avocado, lychee, mamey, sapodilla, star fruit, guava, pomeganate, various citrus and lots of banana plant varieties. My kids and I are looking forward to harvesting honey and (I in particular) brewing my own mead.
