    Default What's The Deal?

    With Honey & Beeswax prices???
We have had a bunch of calls in the past days looking for drums of honey & wax.
Every one seems to have the same story that there is none of either to be purchased.
So what is the going price???

Around here though I have seen wax going for 3.50 lb. in quan. over 100 lb., and honey for 1.85 lb. per barrel 600+ lbs.

Beeswax at over 3.50? Who are these people you speak of? Yes I recently received an inquiry for honey but it was for not much more than their offers a few months back. I think the major packers are about ready to go to the 1.70 range for white if they aren't already there.

You are the one who got the call. What are they offering?

As usual, the going pricew is the most you can get someone to pay.

Its always good to keep up with the prices but its that percentage out there that practically gives their honey away that hurts the prices! Just my 2 cents!!

So, you told them what you wanted, but what were they offering?

Ya have nice white alfalfa/clover bottling honey to sell & no one else has any honey to sell junk honey or other wise.
But when the callers refuse to even give a ball park figure as to what they are paying that to me is nothing but bunk!!!
I have no problems what so ever sending samples, but only after we know what we are working with & at what kind of price!
There a good plenty of smaller honey packers & some a few larger out fits that are great to deal with.
