Just starting from WNY
Hello All, ive been reading for awhile, and I finally purchased (2) nucs for this Spring. I am looking at putting the Hives in the area indicated on the attached photo. My property has fruit trees, grape vines, kiwi vines, and tons of wild blackberries. The surrounding farms are 1000's of acres of corn, oats, and different forage crops. Directly adjacent to my property is a 1200 acre apple farm so there is plenty of fast food for the new ladies. My question is on the location of the hives, the rock wall is about 3 feet tall and will block the normal wind as indicated from the southwest. The pines will block the north wind during the winter, does this look to be a good location?
