    Default swapping hive locations

the hive I cutout from a duckbox is not doing much. the queen is laying. but not many bees to take care of things. can I swap hive location with a hive that is very strong to boost the population?

You may overly weaken the other hive of it foragers. If you want to give it a jump start, pull a frame or 2 of capped brood (no bees) from the strong hive and place it/them in the weaker hive. In a few days you should see a good boost without weakening the strong hive.

I have swithched places with a realy weak hive and a realy strong hive and the queen in the weak one was killed by the returning forgers.
