    Default Pulling Queens and planting cells

    Do Ya'll pull queens and plant new queen cell same day or do you pull queen and plant cell next day?

    Most people plant the next day... we plant as we catch. We do not have any issues from doing it, but we also manage our nucs to be "not quite satisfied" so they are more accepting to what we give them. Once nucs get strong, they may ignore cells and if there is any chance of a cold night, that can cause a problem.

    Ps, how many nucs are you running this year?

    I have about 20 ready to pull next week and plan to set up a few more this week. Starting slow. Steep learning curve.
