solar melter wax filter??? CHAT IS DEAD!!

Well.. since chat is dead tonight, i will throw my nightly questions to the general audience..

I'm building a solar melter and was wondering what people use at the drain end to filter dead bees, pollen, twigs, etc out of the wax... #5 wire mesh? window screen?

put everything in a pantyhose sock tie it off and place in the melter

I put my wax in a paint strainer bag, and put the bag in a shallow pan of water in the melter.
The wax comes out very clean in the first melting, just scrape the light debri off the bottom of the wax after it has cooled.

I don't put anything down at the hole where the wax drops off into the container. At times of the year, it would cool there and make a mess. I just put the wax in a paint strainer or an old tee shirt and put in the melter. All of the black stuff will stick to the material and the honey/wax will go on into your container. I don't scrape anything off of the bottom.
