Does anyone know what time of day dandelions give nectar? Yesterday was a beautiful sunny day and my yard is full of blooming dandelions. Not a bee anywhere on them. Discouraging. I was thinking maybe it was the wrong time of day.

They are working some thing else right now.
It is my understanding that Dandelions have nectar in the morning, and that it decreases as the day goes on.
Is there a list or website of when plants give nectar?

A list of ohio's plants but most of them probably grow where you are too.

My neighborhood has 90-some one acre lots, a quarter to half of them have lots of dandelion plus another 15+ acres of common area that is a sea of yellow. I just installed a package yesterday so I hope they can start making use of all those blossoms quickly.
I saw my girls on the dandelions when I was mowing in the evening, between 6-7pm.
My newly installed package is barely taking syrup, but there are several bees at it when I check, so they're taking some, but not the "quart a day" I've read some people's take. There are a gazillion dandelions blooming around here, though. Can they be getting nectar from them this soon? No one arriving with pollen yet, which I'd expect.
