Maxtant
I am pleased to say (although a month late) that I am the reciepeint of a maxtant 1400 20 frame extractor.
Customer Service: Very Good, I called and was promptly handled by a sales person. When I cornered him on some details he quickly referred me to Jake (owner I believe) rather than string me along with inappropriate data. Jake was able to answer my questions quickly and withouth cerimony.
Shipping: The package shipped on time and arrived as scheduled.
Price: Was as agreed, no suprises on shipping costs.
Quality: Although I havn't been able to compare side by side, a member of my local Bee Association has a competitors 20 frame extractor and was able to provide this commentary to me upon examining my Maxtant. The Maxtant has heavier steel and stainless throughout. The competitors frame spacers were plastic, the Maxtant Aluminum or Stainless (much stronger)
The summary: The Maxtant although somewhat more expensive, is a heavier extractor than the lesser priced competition in the 20 frame category. I am not unhappy with my choice!
The extractor is waiting to be christened this summer on new honey!
