    Default Distance for pollen hives

I had a problem before by having my pollen traps on hives that were in the same yard with
hives with no traps. I would like to put some pollen traps on hives near a group of my hives without traps. How far do they have to be separated so that the girls will go through the
screens rather than drift into some other hive? I use Sundance top pollen traps.

I have found that as long as all the hives in the pallet have traps you are ok. The problem comes in when you don't have them on all four hives...they walk to the next entrance as you said and avoid the trap.

Thank you. That would indicate it would have to be pretty close to be a problem.
I can put my hives farther away than that. Again, thanks.
