Default Nuc stand / frame rack

I have some lumber laying around and I'm thinking of making a few nuc stands. Stands of parallel rails, long enough to hold 4 or 5 nucs, raised off the ground 24-30 inches in order to keep them at a workable height. I just realized that if I set these rails apart about 18.25 inches the nuc stands could do double duty as frame racks when not in use. I'm finding the need for a frame rack as I'm sorting and grading my combs of brood comb.

I did a very low tech approach the same way. Took four concrete blocks and ran 2X4 through them. Spaced them to where the nucs rested on them. Worked great.

    KB, that would work.
I'm cheap, and as I would have to buy the concrete block, I was thinking of the best use for the 4x4 treated posts I have. They are leftover from the sand box my kids have outgrown.

I use 2 pallets stacked on top of each other. You could cut them in half so they only hold 2 or I have found some thinner ones that only hold one row of hives. Look around they are usually free.
