My bees have only been able to get out for some pollen a few days lately, winter is still holding a tight grip on us for the most part. Something I noticed the last couple days, temps only in the mid-high 30's with bright sun, calm winds, but the girls were out getting water wherever they could find it. Had to watch where I walked near the hives because bees were on the ground everywhere sucking up moisture droplets and taking it back to the hives. Must have been too cold to go for pollen up in the trees, but they had no problem going out for water, I figure they must need the water to thin down the honey for brood rearing. John
