    Default honey extractor

    There's a fellow close by that has a Maxat series 1400, Model 10 electric extractor. It is supposed to be SS 10 frame. I have never heard of this brand,and am wondering if thery are any good. Thanks in advance.

    If you mean Maxant then they are excellent American made extractors, own one myself. If Jake reads this I am sure he will post up.

    I called him back,and he said that it was maxant, Thanks for the info.

    I'll be buying a Maxant as soon as I need an extractor.

    Got my eye on a 3100P. Only have 4 hives now but sure wish I had an extractor to get ride of some of the honey left from last year. Figure I'll regreat not getting a good machine I can use for the remainder of my life. Four hives today - maybe 12 someday.

    Folks - I researched extractors for a year and talked to everyone until they would not listen anymore. The heck with hand cranks and better to have a radial and power if ya can afford it. Maxant has all kinds of upgraded stuff on their extractors. Can't believe they don't charge more for them then they do.
