    Default New Moderator

Hello, my name is Solomon Parker. Feel free to call me "Sol." For the users of the Biological Beekeeping section of the forums, I'll be your new moderator.

My primary goal is to be as fair as humanly possible and I encourage you to send me a personal message if you have any questions or concerns raised by my actions.

Let me share with you my vision for this forum. First and foremost, I wish to make this area more friendly to freshman beekeepers. There are long running arguments here and there have been stirrings of annoyance that threads often devolve into pro/against treatment debates. This discourages posting by new beekeepers and by those who just want information and don't like arguments. To that end, I will focus on starting new threads rather than deleting off topic posts which are still good discussion. I encourage everyone to feel free to start as many new threads as you have items to talk about.

Please enjoy the discussion and remember to read the "Biological Beekeeping" banner just above the posts if you're not sure a post belongs in this context. I also recommend reading the rules again to refresh yourself as I have been doing. Please help me by following the rules, keeping it on topic, and making my job easy.

    Thanks for your time
    Sol

I would like to suggest more clearly defined rules of participation in the Bio Bee Forum. Who is allowed to pareticipate who is not.

I would also like to suggest a change in the Bio Bee Heading. Drop the line about Yin-Yang. If Yin-Yang means anything it means thhe duality of the whole, the female/male energy, etc. And thereby means "Treatment Free/Treatment". So, if Bio Bee is a Treatment "free" Zone, say so. Or, just change the Forum Title to "Treatment Free Zone".

Everyone is allowed to participate, just understand that suggesting the use of pesticides in a forum devoted to the elimination of pesticides could be seen at any time as off topic or an attempt to derail the discussion.

I too have not been satisfied with the last fragment of the the title banner either. Perhaps we could start a thread to discuss it.

Go ahead. I'm sure it would be better for you to do so than for me to.
