starter/finsihervs cell builder.

I was taight to use a cell builder in my queen class. The cells in the same builder the whole time. I have been reading larry conners books and he talks about starter and finisher method, and thats what he uses.

My question is which method of cell raising to you use, and WHY?

I use the separate starter/finisher. Looking into a single starter/finisher. Why? Because I just do!

I've done both. I usually use the starter as the finisher just because I don't have the time to deal with doing them separately.

What about using "Cloake Board" method. I too am looking at raising just a few queens to help with some splits and am not sure how it works and pros and cons. Can someone explain it to me versus having to have starter and finishers.

I took Larry Connors weekend class last summer. I had very good success with the starter finisher. My third graft ever was 82 of 90 cells.
