Almond Butter

Sitting here with the wife tonight trying something new to us - Almond Butter.... ground roasted almonds. She asked me how one harvests the almond... I told her they probably shake the tree, but I really do not know. Here in NC Almond Butter appears to be a good bit more expensive than peanut butter.. but then again we do grow a lot of peanuts. Pretty impressive how well the Almond Assoc. markets it's product. I suspect the Blueberry guys could learn a few things from them.

So are there mechanized tree shakers out in those Almond orchards... or what??

We raise Pecans around here and the tree. the tree is shook.shaken this computer does not know how to spell or use the right words but you might understand

On another note I always found it interesting that many people pronounce almonds : ALL MUNDS

I have also heard it pronounced : OWL MUNDS

The growers call them AM MUNDS. they say the L is silent because they shake the L out of them!
