Hello from Maricopa, AZ

Hello From Maricopa, Arizona which is just south of Phoenix.

I had a swarm of bees in my front yard a couple weeks ago and decided to catch it, so I have become introduced to bee keeping now. I am still looking for where that swarm came from and I have not found any nearby bees. I'm hoping they are around still.

I made a few mistakes getting my hive quickly together when I had to get it all done in 24 hours without prior experience. Due to this I made a few mistakes and they might not make it since it has gotten very cold for this area. Low 40's and raining. I'll check them when it warms up and see. So many things are taken for granted and not clearly explained for a newbie. After reading a book "The Backyard BeeKeeper" I am understanding my mistakes and hope to learn from them. I have also decided this is something I am anxious to try.

I have used thie forum software before on other sites (other hobbies) and I know that it can be updated to include the location some one is registered from while browsing the messages (it shows right under their name). Where can I message the manager to make such a suggestion?

Welcome, are you friends with Joe? I'm a big fan. Bees will many times prosper in spite of what we do, also don't believe what that book says, making honey is a good thing to be encouraged.
