Hi from Alexandria VA
My name is Chris and I am just starting my classes in beekeeping through the BANV and am really excited to be starting. I have a small garden and hope to have 2 or 3 hives and bribe neighbors with honey, in case they get jittery. I have not found any prohibition against bee keeping, but the zoning laws may be a bit of a problem. I look forward to learning a lot on this forum.

Welcome Chris! Many cities do not know what they allow. They know they do not want law suits and unhappy neighbors. They do not understand residents actually want to keep these bugs. They do not realize wild uncontrolled bugs move in when bees are regulated out.
