Hello to all! Been lurkin around a short while and decided to join in to get some questions answered! I am far from getting everything read up on here though... Im almost a year in with my first two hives that I purshased from Long Lane Honey Bee farm in Illinois. Thought it was kinda cool to see them mentioned on a different thread the other day about "natural beekeeping."So far so good with keepin em alive thru my first winter. Dave and Sherri at Long Lane are a huge asset to beginners! Im shamed to admit that other than what I have gained from them, Ive been self teaching with ABJ, books, and a lot of search engines that continuously lead me here!!! I had been interested in beekeeping for many years before I ever finally leaped in last spring. After just a few short months and a few itchy stings that I was proud of, I was hooked and wanted more. Thought it was kind of funny to find out that that is pretty well what happens to every beek after their first purchase. Well anyway, to those with the answers, be prepared
PS.... my first question is gonna be about my honey that crystallized in about a weeks time! I will elaborate later with some things that I think I done wrong and you can laugh, shake your head, and even tell me what really went wrong! I can take it on the shoulder with a grin![]()
