You can hold the ALT key and type "248" I think.
BeeCurious............... Trying to think inside the box...
On a Mac it's "option" and "0" (that's a zero).
Hey BeeCurious, thanks for the info. it works, and the old dog learned a new trick![]()

Bee Curious - I knew about holding alt and 0176, but not alt and 248. Tried it and it works... on a PC anyway.
Here's a link to the FAQ Microsoft has for using their character map. It explains how to access the character map on your computer and how to use it.

Nobody ruins my day without my permission, and I refuse to grant it...
Just some additional information:
Word 2007
Open a page, there are 7 tabs at the upper left, click the insert tab which is located between Home and Page layout, go to the far right where you see the Symbol, click on the Symbol tab, click on the Degree Sign so that it’s inserted into your text, and close the window.
For example 70°, or Shortcut key: Alt+0176

ALT 248 is the answer. I use character mapping all the time. We used to create hidden directories with ALT 255 which creates a "space" as a directory name..something you can't do if you use a GUI but a command line interface is wonderful at that kind of stuff.

Interesting:
They both work.
Thanks,
