    Default Hey there from Texas

    Hey y'all,

My name is Kyt and I live in Amarillo, TX. My husband and I have been trying to build a homestead life for several years on our small 7.97 acres (aka Almost 8).

We have chickens and sheep and I have asked the birthday gods to bring me bees this spring.

I'd like to learn as much as I can about bee keeping. The collective brain of this forum is legendary so I hope to glean a lot of information that will help make me a good bee keeper.

Many thanks to Jim Ray who steered me to this forum.

    Best regards,
    Kyt Eubanks

Hey to you too Kyt. Have you seen the book "5 Acres and Independence", by Scott Neiring? Nearing?

Hi cave- I lived in Amarillo when I was but a wee tot. It's too dry and windy for me. Welcome to Beesource.

I think DH has a copy of it. I'll ask him to dig it out for me. Thanks!

Ah yes. I agree. But I'm always trying to make my exile more tolerable! Kyt
