Hi, just trying to learn about bees. I built a KTHB (or something that looks like it) based on information from the web. All that I have to do now is find some bees to populate it with.

My primary goal is for increased garden pollination, maybe honey production later if things go well.

Hey: Try listing with the local fire station for swarms. They are glad to give your number to save the bees. After you have more than you want--just call and ask to be removed from the list. Or buy a package/nuc or whatever a local beek will part with.
Local schools call me all the time.

Thanks. I've thought about this, but have no experience other than youtube and no equipment and doubt I could do it physically. My plan is to mail order or maybe find someon locally maybe who sells bees.
